Genova International invites applications for places on the 4th 18+ tour of Italy, to be held from July 16 to July 29, in Italy.
Tour objective: to provide a showcase for players without contracts or players looking for contracts.
Ages:18+. 12 players will be selected from Australia.
Tour dates: 16th July - 29 July 2010
Venue: Ciclamino Famiglia Campagna, Tonezza Del Cimone, Vicenza. (www.alciclamino.com)
Training Venue: Stadio Comunale Di Zane.
Key dates
Arrival: 16th July: Venezia airport. Group escorted to GISS headquarters, 50 mins to destination (Veneto region).
Players Press Conference/Presentation: 16th July: 2pm at Hotel Kristal (media in attendance will include Sky, local Italian television, and Channel 31 Australia)
Training commences: 17th July, 4pm at Stadio Zane'.
Equipment provided: playing kits, training kit, soccer bag, and other gadgets.
Previous tours - in 2007 and 2008 - have seen games played against Serie A, B and C official 1st teams, including Fiorentina, Chievo, Bologna, Livorno, Atalanta, Piacenza, Cittadella, Padova, Vicenza, Verona, Genoa, Mantova, and Piacenza. 2009 saw games against Chievo, Siena, Torino, Vicenza, Verona, and Mantova.
